In what might be labeled the first real signs that the short Autumn season is coming to a close, Lake Superior became a bowl of rolling and smashing water today, October 15, 2019. It was the biggest gale so far for this Yankee Southerner, and I was duly impressed. The winds were gusting to 35mph and the waves grew throughout the day, up to 10-12 feet by afternoon. These images are from my morning walk, mostly a drive, actually. I will post an afternoon gallery, of even more stunning shots taken as I walked around the entire peninsula. Look for that tomorrow.
Here is a slide show of the morning photographs.

Gradually, I am migrating over to Zenfoio from my websites. The websites were awesome, but to what purpose I do not know. For the purpose of sharing, Zenfolio works, and for some more grandiose reasons, well, I just don't have the time or inclination anymore. I hope you enjoy and find the material useful that is posted in this blog. You can also follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, if you like.
